Dear Friends and Colleagues,
We are delighted to announce that Ahna Kruzic (she/her) is joining the Regenerative Agriculture Foundation as Associate Director. Ahna has a tremendous diversity of experience in nonprofit management, regenerative agriculture, and supporting farm and racial justice. She has been providing consultive support to RAF for the past year and has agreed to join us as full-time staff.
Originally from southern Iowa, Ahna currently lives in Oakland and has been serving as Pesticide Action Network’s Communications and Media Director. She holds a Master of Science in sustainable agriculture and sociology from Iowa State University, and has worked as community organizer, researcher, coalition-builder, publisher, and communicator. Prior to joining PAN, Ahna worked as Director of Publications and Communications at Food First / the Institute for Food and Development Policy. She has also served as the Interim Executive Director for the Women, Food and Agriculture Network in 2020.
For the past year as a consultant, Ahna has been leading RAF’s Midwest racial equity cohort project. Alongside staff from the Land Stewardship Project and with the guidance of Seven Teachings LLC, Ahna has facilitated the design and execution of a seven-month cohort process, which includes staff from 16 Midwest farm and rural organizations that seek to incorporate increasing racial justice priorities into their organizations’ work. The project has received tremendous reviews from the participants, and Ahna will be leading the development of similar cohort efforts in other parts of the country over this coming year.
Ahna’s experience and passion for a regenerative and just agriculture fits seamlessly with RAF’s grantmaking and the organization’s future aspirations. Please feel free to extend your congratulations to Ahna at email@example.com.
For a more regenerative world,
Kevin Boyer, Founder and Grants Program Director
