Meeting the Moment: Philanthropy Must Adapt to a Hostile Federal Government
“The regenerative agriculture movement is evolving quickly as the science and our collective understanding of the field grows. I am deeply grateful that I can rely on RAF staff and partners to keep up on the activities and opportunities in regenerative agriculture.“
— Sallie Calhoun
Owner of Paicines Ranch, founder of the NoRegrets Initiative, & RAF Board Chair
Regenerative agriculture is a key component
for solving the global climate crisis.
RAF’s vision for the future includes:
- Resilient and abundant
food and fiber production - Agriculture that combines
Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK)
and western science - Well-functioning water and carbon cycles
- Flourishing communities
- A just, equitable,
and thriving food economy
The food system faces enormous challenges.
RAF strives to be a part of the solution.
RAF’s theory of change is based on supporting regenerative practices that tend to be outside of mainstream agriculture. That’s why RAF prioritizes relationships with diverse grassroots leaders and supporting marginalized groups.
